SafetyHow do I know my child's information is safe?
We check that you are a parent before anything about your child goes in. We do not sell your child's information or share it for advertising, and the companies that help us make your book may use it only for that. Your child's books stay private to your account unless you share one. You can see everything we hold and delete it at any time. Read all six promises.
SafetyWhy do you ask for a $7.99 payment before I can enter my child's name?
That is COPPA, the US children's privacy law, working as intended. Before we collect anything about a child, we must verify that a parent or authorized adult is consenting. Your adult declaration, accepted parent notices and confirmed one time qualifying payment complete verification. The Starter Bundle adds one Learning Book, one narration, and five Practice Packs after payment confirmation.
SafetyIs my child's photo safe?
Photos are optional. If you share one, it is used only to draw your child. The companies that help us draw your book may use it only for that, never for themselves and never to train AI, and we don't train AI on it either. It is stored securely, and you can review and delete it at any time from Settings.
Your dataWhat data do you collect, and can I delete it?
Only what stories need: first name, age, interests, and the optional photo, always after parent verification, never from the child directly. Settings gives you a full review of everything we hold and one click deletion of profiles or your entire account. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
StoriesCan my child's friends be in the stories?
Yes. The simplest way is as described characters. You tell us a friend has curly hair and a green bike, and the illustrator takes it from there. No photo, and no other parent's consent to worry about.
Photos are optional for every character. Whenever you do upload one, we ask you to confirm you have permission for that face: from the person, or from their parent or guardian if they are a child. We can't tell whose child is in a photograph, so that confirmation is yours to make and yours to stand behind. Please don't upload a photo of a child outside your own household.
StoriesWhat ages is this for?
Roughly 4 to 11. Reading level adapts per child, and curriculum stories align to K to 5 standards (Oregon today, more states coming).
MoneyWhat if a book fails to finish?
If a book fails to generate, its credit goes straight back to your balance. You never pay for a book you didn't get.
