Story credits
Every new book uses one book credit. You can buy more from Account at any time. There is no subscription, and credits never expire.
1. Open Account
From your library, press Account in the menu on the left (on a phone, tap the menu button at the top first). Your balance is right at the top: book credits, practice packs and books made.
2. Press Add beside the kind you want
The Credits card lists each kind with its own button: Books, Practice packs and Read-aloud narrations. Press the one beside Books.
3. Choose how many
You will see every size with its price, and bigger packs cost less per book. There is no subscription: you pay once and use them whenever you like. Then press Pay. Today’s prices are on our pricing page.
4. Pay securely
Pay with the card you saved last time, or choose A new card (tick Save your card if you would like it filled in next time). Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, and nothing is charged until you press Pay.
5. Done
Your balance updates straight away. Stripe emails you the receipt, and the purchase shows in Purchases on the same page.
Good to know
- Practice packs and Read-aloud narrations are bought exactly the same way.
- If you run out while making a book, the same window opens right there, so you do not lose your place.
- Have a gift code? Type it into Have a gift code? on the Account page instead.
- Inviting a friend earns you free books too: see Invite a friend.
- Credits are not shown in Kid Mode, so a child cannot see prices or buy anything.
