Every picture is inspected
Before a page is kept, we check each character's face and clothes against how they were drawn before.
What it is
Before a page is kept, the drawing is inspected. One reading compares each person against the photo you gave, or against a portrait we draw at the start of the book for anyone who has neither a photo nor an avatar, and sees those two pictures and nothing else: no name, no description, nothing to agree with. A second looks for malformed bodies and doubled people. A third reads the clothes against what the story locked them into.
What it is for
Drawing models drift, and checking does not stop them drifting. What it does is catch a page before you ever see it and order another one. A clothing slip may cost a page its place but never fails a book. A doubled person or a broken body is not let through at all, and where nothing clean can be drawn we stop rather than keep it.
How to use it
- Start a book from New Adventure. The checks run on every page as it is drawn, with nothing for you to switch on.
- Watch Painting the illustrations on the book's card in Library. The inspection happens inside that phase.
- Open the book once its card in Library shows the cover and Read.
- Look through the pages yourself when it lands. You know these people and no check ever will.
- Tap Retry generation on the card if the book stopped before it finished.
What we suggest
Read this as work we do, not as a result we can promise. It catches a great deal and it does not catch everything, and we would rather say so than have you find the page that got through. If one does, tell us. Real examples are what these checks are tuned against.
