Life skills and values

Some stories teach a lesson from school. Others are about being kind, telling the truth, a calm bedtime or helping at home. You pick one, and the story is built around it.

A parent chooses Life Skills & Values, opens Values & Character and picks Kindness, brings Grandpa, Alice’s little brother Leo and Biscuit the dog into the story, picks Painted Realism and one of three story ideas. The finished book shows Kindness on its card.

How to do it

  1. Press Start an adventure (on a phone, New Adventure), then choose Life Skills & Values.
  2. Pick one of the three kinds: Values & Character, Healthy Habits or Everyday Responsibility.
  3. Pick one focus. Each card has a line saying what it means, and a book carries one focus.
  4. Choose who is in the story. Bring the people who help your child show it.
  5. Set the tone, writing style and place, or leave them to Bix. Pick a picture style, then press Show Story Ideas.
  6. Each of Bix’s three ideas shows your focus in a different way. Your pick uses one book credit, and the finished book has its focus on the card.
