Write a note on the dedication page
Every book opens like a real one, with a page that says who it was made for. Under that line goes a note from you, in your own words.
The dedication page
It is page 2, facing the title page, the same in the reader and in the PDF. On a phone the reader shows it straight after the cover. It names who the book was made for, and your note is printed under that line.
Every book has one. With no note, the page still names who the book was made for.
Write it while you make the book
- Press Start an adventure (on a phone, New Adventure) and go through the steps as usual.
- On the Look step, under the picture styles, write in the box under A note for your child’s name. It is optional.
- The counter under the box shows how much room is left, up to 280 characters. Press Enter to put your sign off on its own line.
Add or change it later
- Open your Library and find the row of small buttons under the book. Press the one with a person on it: point at it and it says *Write, change or remove the note printed on the dedication page*. On a phone, tap the book first, then press the same button under it.
- Write or change the note, then press Save note.
- To take the note away, clear the box and press Save note. The line naming who the book was made for stays.
What to write
- Two or three lines and a sign off is plenty.
- If the book marks a day, say which one. Years from now, this page is what tells them.
